Fundação Orsa was created in 1994, much before some concepts as social responsibility and corporate citizen were highlighted. Nowadays, it has become a world benchmark in sustainability and a recognized reference in the Third Sector
Its track mixes with the concept development of the private social investment in Brazil, once since its creation, it works for developing programs and social projects, based on the principle of the partnership network activity.
At the beginning it had as a focus acting in the formation of children and adolescents being in the risk situation and after some time, it changed into the social company of Grupo Orsa.
In line with the philosophy of the organization, based on 3Ps (people, profit and planet), forwards its actions for the integrated local development, based on income generation projects for the communities around the Groups industries, mainly. It has nationwide action in Brazil, with unities in Vale do Jari (PA/AP), Manaus (AM), Rio Verde (GO), in Itapeva (SP), Suzano (SP), Campinas (SP), Barueri (country of SP), and in São Paulo, capital - with projects in education, health, culture, environment, human rights and income generation.

It has reached along the years more than 6,8 million people in services throughout Brazil, and played a key role consolidating projects into a Brazilian nationwide public policy as the Kangaroo Mother Method, GRAACC (Grupo de Apoio ao Adolescente e à Criança com Câncer/ Group of Support to the Adolescent and Children with Cancer), Bandeira Project and PROGEPI (Programa de Gestão Pedagógica para Infância/Program of Pedagogical Management for the Childhood), through a partnership with local authorities.
